Recently we had the joy of photographing Irica Alicea’s Quinceañera celebration! Irica’s special day was definitely one to remember! From the beginning of the day until the end of the night she lit up the space with beauty and energy. Our job became even easier when we met Irica’s wonderful family and great group of friends. We were lucky enough to photograph the entire day with Irica and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
We started out day over at the Alicea’s home where Irica and her family were getting ready for the day’s festivities. Her dress, a beautiful gown with an intricate design, was the first thing photographed. Here, we added the shoes and her crown, two of the most important pieces to her special day.
Irica is such a joy to photograph as she always has a beautiful smile on her face.
This is always an emotional moment for mothers as they are watching their child growing up right before their eyes.
Though she’s growing up, Irica is still a kid at heart!
As we set up this photograph, Irica commented how hopefully she wouldn’t fall coming down the stairs because she couldn’t see her feet. After this comment, she made her way down the stairs only to almost fall into her parents at the bottom. Luckily she stabilized herself and we were able to capture this exquisite photograph.
Ircia’s family is very close with one another. It was a wonderful experience working with them.
We shot our outdoor photographs at the Janssen Conference Center at Penn State Berks. Irica made our job very easy with her beautiful smile and natural stunning beauty!
Her reception was held at the Crowne Plaza, which never disappoints for its great customer service. We also love their elegant hallways.
The party began with the typical Quinceañera traditions. Irica’s laugh was so contagious as her shoes were placed on her feet.
Irica has such a great relationship with her family, which is something you don’t always see with teenagers and their parents.
The honorary candle lighting ceremony showcased the people that have made a difference in her life.
We always love photographing big group photos, especially when they make our job simple! Irica’s guests crowded the dance floor and were enthusiastic with every photo pose we requested.
We can’t thank the Alicea family enough for their wonderful hospitality and we can’t wait to continue our great working relationship in the future.
